WILMINGTON—The Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builders Association celebrated 50 years of representing the building and development industry in southeastern North Carolina last week. The Association’s “50th Birthday Bash” celebration was held Thursday, November 5 at Brooklyn Arts Center in Downtown Wilmington.  The 200-guest event featured a lavish comfort food buffet, a cigar bar and a birthday cake in the shape of a life-size tool-box.  Guests danced the night away to the sounds of the popular Chapel Hill band, “Liquid Pleasure.”

The Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builders Association was chartered on May 10, 1965 with the mission to serve as the voice of the region’s housing industry.  Since that time, the Association has grown and is now the largest trade association in Southeastern North Carolina.  Representing more than 900 member companies, it is the third largest home builders association in the state and the largest East of I-95.
